Travel Claims Procedures
Please follow below simple steps to submit claim to insurance companies.
This guidance is for guidance only, and different insurance companies may have different procedures at different times.
Submission Timeline:
In the event of loss, written notice of claims should be given to Insurance Companies asap, but must be within an allowed period, usually 30 days after the occurrence.
Death claims may require immediate notice in writing.
Claim Documents Required
You need to submit different claim documents depending on the nature of loss or injury. Please select one of the options for more information:
- Certificate of Insurance or premium receipt.
- Departure proof, such as air tickets, cruise ticket, boarding pass, travel agents, or airline’s receipt, etc.
- Letter from company regarding nature and duration of trip (if under a corporate travel policy)
- Original medical receipt(s) and medical report(s) stating diagnosis and date of injury/sickness commenced certified by a qualified medical practitioner,
- Letter of referral from general practitioner for the medical treatment conducted by specialists, physiotherapists, etc.
- Medical certificate from a qualified medical practitioner certifying diagnosis and the
number of days of hospitalization - Hospital discharge summary
- Letter from employer/company stating that the insured is under employment and salary
amount during sick leave period (Applicable to Loss of Income)
- Loss reports issued by local police within 24 hours after the occurrence of the incident.
- Damage reports issued by the relevant authorities or organizations (e.g., police/airline/
hotel, etc.) within 3 days after the occurrence of the incident. - Photos showing the extent of damage to the property, if applicable
- Original Purchase receipt of the lost/damaged items
- Repair quotation, if applicable
- Compensation letter from airline/hotel/ any other parties (where applicable)
- Original receipts for additional hotel accommodation and travel expenses, if applicable
- Documentation indicating the reason(s) for and number of hours of delay
(e.g. confirmation from common carrier) - Original receipt(s) for emergency purchase of essential items, if applicable
- Original receipts issued by the relevant parties (e.g., airline, hotel) showing the
booking date and the itinerary - Documents issued by the relevant parties (e.g., airline, hotel) confirming trip cancellation
and the refunded amount/non-refundable - Medical certificate indicating diagnosis and reason that the insured is unfit for travel,
if applicable. - Death certificate, if applicable
- Proof of relationship to the insured, if applicable
- Original receipts issued by the relevant parties (e.g., airline, hotel) showing the booking
date and the schedule of the original itinerary - Original documentation/receipts indicating the pre-paid or / and additional travel
and/or accommodation expenses incurred after the commencement of the insured journey - Documents issued by the relevant parties (e.g., airline, hotel) confirming the rearrangement
and the refunded amount/non-refundable amount - Documentation from common carrier or travel agent indicating the reason for journey
re-arrangement - Medical certificate indicating diagnosis and reason that the insured is unfit to continue
the planned journey, if applicable - Death certificate, if applicable
- Proof of relationship to the insured, if applicable
- Relevant incident report and police report
- Death Certificate, if applicable
- Proof of claimant’s relationship to the Insured, if applicable
- Medical report regarding the extent of permanent disability suffered
- Incident report issued by local police or relevant organizations (if applicable)
- Original payment receipt of compensation for damaged items (if applicable)
No liability should be admitted and no settlement or promise of payment should be reached or
made to the third party without our prior approval.

Your submitted claim form will be sent to your insurance company, broker and your designated email. An email acknowledgement of the submitted forms will be sent to you immediately.
Review & Settlement
Your claim will be processed by your insurance companies. If you are “clients” membership, you can retrieve your submitted information anytime with our further guidance on claims management process.
You will receive an acknowledgement email for the submitted claim forms and supporting documents, which will be sent to your designated insurance company, and broker/agent (if applicable or at your consent).
It is easy to upload all supporting documents electronically via this website, via our AI Claims Manager App, or by email. However, if you do not submit all the required documents in one shot, you can log in and continue to submit all outstanding supporting documents via this web portal or our AI Claims Manager App.
If you do not submit all the required documents, the process of your claim may be delayed or unable to proceed for claims settlement.
Generally speaking, original receipts and supporting documents are required in order to process Personal Accident and Travel claims. However, this also depends on the nature of the claim and type of the receipt
Please indicate on the claim form you submit that you are requesting the return of your original receipts. Insurance companies will return the certified true copy of original receipts to you once the assessment of your claim is complete.
Yes, you are. You should always submit your travel insurance certificate. If you are making a claim under an annual travel policy, departure proof is required. If you are making a claim under a corporate travel policy, proof of the nature of the trip, destination and its duration (from your company) is required.
